JCER World Business Climate Index for June

August 26, 2014



The JCER World Business Climate Index for June remained unchanged at -2.7, rating "rainy" for two months straight. 

The business climate in Japan declined for three consecutive months due to the country's consumption tax hike

The EU, US, ASEAN and BRICs indices all showed improvements.

The BRICs index picked up for the first time in four months.

China and India
 indices made improvements from the previous month.

Brazil and Russia indices slipped further.

Out of all the major countries and regions, the US topped the index, driven by increased production and consumption.
